The Tet Valley, also known locally as the Conflent, has been under the control of either Spain or France for over the centuries. Although French, since 1659, it is strongly influenced by the Spanish Catalunya or Catalonia. This gives the region a unique identity, and is very different from northern France. It is relaxed, whilst purposeful, rural but not isolated, very accommodating and friendly, and enjoys what many claim to be the best climate & environment in France; fresh clear air, warmth, abundant sunshine and with an abundance of water flowing from the mountains, giving the area a rich, fertile and pleasing greenness.

It is no wonder that those who visit the Tet Valley fall in love with it. It has become the place of choice for both British holiday makers, and those who wish to find superior quality of life.
